The boy who lived…
We had harry potter to have surviived the dark lord…and at jaipur..we had our very own harry potter shrieking out of a deep desire within to survive the bamboos given for 25 days. He wanted to live..and he did.
It was dark that night. The class was over, so was our appetite(No points for guessing..the mess). All we needed was a little bit of fresh air. 8 of us all set for a late night stroll at the JMIT(Jantar mantat Inst of tech). The pale mercury lamps were emanating the amber tinge from the globes. The lamps were casting long shadows as if trying to warn us of perils lying ahead. It was the folly of an unsuspecting bunch of Delhites who choosed not to look at the omens. The omens knew, so did the breeze. It was stale quench that you could smell that night. It was 9 :15 PM, adnt he gang was all happy and cheerful(The Bamboo Boys were not able to suck it all up…DCEites still had the flame in them). Abhsihek was there like a free spirit right on that turn when the killer bus arrived. The yellow bus looking paler in the lamps with the headlights shining bright like the eyes of the grim himself. A steep turn and a yell…
“I dont want to die..I dont want to die ..AP save me….”
The busm came to a screeching halt at the turn. I could see nobody..
The bus had stopped inches away from Abhishek(who was all over the bushes). He was alright (panting heavily now…with mixed sigh of relief) but somenody was missing…
AP…was in the bushes , his floaters torn into pieces…
The Bus driver, the conductor and everybody blabbered their guts out on our faces while we were laughing out loud..(with a feeling of shock or a feeling of utter shameless sense of humor).
The boy had realised..he was well and alive (though the floaters may rest in peace).
The boy who lived was back on the Jaipur roads ready to saved again by some saviour. Watch out..superheroes….somebody is out there to be saved, rescued brought back to his life.
